We had about 19mm gaps under the skirting boards where carpet used to be on the floorboards. Dad and I got some beading that was a wedge-like shape. Dad cut it to size and laid it. We both painted the whole lot in white. Looks fantastic now, and is hopefully less drafty and less dirt/bugs come up from under the floor. This picture is a corner in the lounge room.
